Airport bosses say a 4.23% increase in passengers at Ronaldsway last month was largely down to it being a leap year.
Almost 2100 more people travelled through the Isle of Man Airport in February this year compared to last year.
However, the increase would have been less than 1% if it hadn't been for the extra day.
Over 4000 passengers used the London City and Southampton routes, both of which are due to close in the coming weeks.
Liverpool saw almost 2000 more passengers in February this year compared to 2011, whilst Bristol and Manchester also saw an increase in passenger numbers.
