Manx-born residents now make up just over 48% of the Island's population.
More details have been released from the census held at the end of March last year.
It shows the number of residents born on the Island has risen slightly since the last survey in 2006.
7.5% were born outside the UK or Ireland.
The census put the official population at almost 84,500. That's a rise of more than 4,000 in five years.
Only the summary results of the census have been published.
The full findings will be available after they are put before next month's sitting of Tynwald.
