DEC Minister asked for nursery and library update

The Education Minister will provide an update on the services being affected by cuts in the House of Keys next week.

Peter Karran is being asked what plans there are to continue preschool and library provisions when DEC funding for the services ends in the summer.

Douglas North MHK Bill Henderson is asking for the update.

He'll also ask whether there are plans to assist parents who won't be able to afford to send their children to private nurseries.

The DEC is closing all its nurseries and preschools as well as the family library and mobile library service due to budget cuts
