The TT lap record holder says he almost forgot the electric bike he'll be riding was battery powered whilst testing it in Japan recently.
John McGuinness will attempt to be the first rider to complete a lap at 100mph in the TT Zero this year riding a machine built by Mugen.
He was pleased with the bike's performance, describing it as a well put together proper race bike.
McGuinness makes his debut in the zero carbon emission race this year, which will be the 4th time the class has taken part in TT.
Mugen will use the data from testing to fine tune the machine before shipping it to the UK for further tests.
There's a £10,000 prize cheque on offer for the first team to complete a 100mph lap in the electric class.
