An MHK has been seeking reassurance about the forthcoming Freedom of Information Bill.
In the House of Keys, Onchan Member Zac Hall asked the Chief Minister about concerns raised in the UK about how the law works there.
Police, universities and other authorities have complained about the act in the United Kingdom and a review is underway.
