Glenside workers protest over closure plans

Staff from a residential home which is due to close have been holding a protest ahead of today's House of Keys sitting.

Unite members who work at Glenside Residential Home took part in the demonstration.

Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw has previously stated that he can't guarantee there won't be job losses when the facility closes in 2014.

The Department of Social Care wants to place more emphasis on care for the elderly in their own homes rather than in residential homes.
