McGuinness to ride Mugen TT Zero bike

Sat, 03 Mar 2012

John McGuinness will attempt to claim another lap record at TT this year.

The fastest ever rider around the course will make his debut in the TT Zero race, riding the bike being built by Mugen.

The 17 time winner confirmed he'll be on the Mugen entry during an interview on a visit to Morecambe FC's Globe Arena.

Mugen is a world renowned engine tuning company set up by the son of the founder of Honda.

The team are considered one of the favourites to take the £10,000 prize money offered by the Department of Economic Development for completing the first ever 100mph lap on the electric machines.
