School boy injured in collision with people carrier

Police are investigating after a school boy was injured in a collision with a people carrier.

The dark blue Mercedes vehicle was travelling on Barrule Road in Willaston at around 3.25 on Wednesday afternoon when the incident happened.

The boy needed hospital treatment and has missed schools as a result of the collision, but his injuries are said to be minor.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of the Mercedes, which is said to have had smoked out windows.
