The Department of Social Care is cutting its funding for a local charity which gives help to those with drug related problems.
The Drug Advice Service and Helpline, known as DASH, is to have its Government funding for providing open access support to adults and young people stopped in the next 6 months.
The Department says it has offered to continue to provide a grant for DASH to run its helpline.
The charity was asked to provide additional services in 2009, but the Department says this has been underused, and that it will end its funding for them from August this year.
A new model for helping those with drug problems will be announced in the coming months.
