The Department of Infrastructure is looking to save over £750,000 from it's salary bill in the forthcoming financial year.
The DoI plans to save £424,000 by eliminating vacant posts and bringing in more efficient working practices.
There'll also be a £355,000 reduction to the overtime budget.
The Department needs to find £2m worth of savings following the unveiling of the budget earlier this week.
It's also looking to reduce spending through vacating rented premises, using more efficient technology and handing out fewer grants.
