Crimestoppers calls help Manx police

Thu, 23 Feb 2012

Calls to the Island's Crimestoppers line have helped police with a number of cases recently.

In the last quarter of last year, officers received information through Crimestoppers on 6 incidents, resulting in 2 arrests and 1 person appearing before the courts.

Help from the Manx public has continued during January, with another arrest as a result of the anonymous line and a further crime detected.

The reports from the public have been across a wide range of criminal and motoring offences.

Details about a crime can be passed to the police anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
