Two MHKs are campaigning to keep the Castletown Golf Links Hotel zoned for leisure.
Malew and Santon member Graham Cregeen and Richard Ronan, the representative for Castletown, are against a residential development on the site.
An offer was recently made to the Receiver of the hotel but this wasn't successful.
The MHKs held a meeting with a developer keen to establish a leisure facility on the site and the Derbyhaven Residents' Society last week.
They're now looking to hold meetings with the Chief Minister and Economic Development Minister, plus Heritage Homes, to ensure the site isn't made residential.
