Dog owners are being reminding to keep their pets under control as lambing season nears.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking owners to be careful when taking their dogs off their leads near the Department's hill lands and near farmland.
DEFA says sheep worrying is a year round concern but is a particular concern in the lambing months of March to May.
Farmers can take legal action against those who don't control their dogs whilst on their land, which can result in severe penalties including compensation claims.
