Police are warning those with oil tanks to be on the look out for thieves.
There's been a rise recently in the number of oil thefts being reported around the Island.
Officers are also appealing to the general public to report any suspicious activity as soon as possible, as a delay increases the chances of the thief getting away.
Those who have oil tanks on their property are urged to make sure they're secure by fitting the filler tap with a padlock where possible, or considering security lighting or thorny bushes near the tank.
