Residents to hear plans for future of Glenside care home

Residents of Glenside have been invited to hear about plans for the future of the care home.

Staff, residents and family members will all be given further information in due course as the Department of Social Care plans to make changes to the way it delivers some aspects of care for elderly people.

Meanwhile, an MHK is questioning the Social Care Minister about residential homes in the House of Keys tomorrow.

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson will ask Chris Robertshaw if any of the homes are due to close in the next year.

Mr Henderson says recent rumours are causing worry for people and he wants a straightforward answer from the Minister.[Play media file below]
