Management and admin jobs will be cut at the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.
Chief Executive Nick Black says he's consulting on a new structure for the Department, which removes a number of posts.
It comes just a week after Mr Black confirmed the Department was reviewing staffing .
Consultation continues with the workers likely to be affected.
Mr Black says it's important that these personal discussions take place and that support is provided to staff before any further public announcements are made.
He says the aim of the new stucture is to focus staffing on the operational work of the Department and improve front line services.
