Man rescued from foot of cliff

A man is in hospital after being rescued from the foot of a cliff south of Douglas in the early hours of this morning.

Douglas Coastguard crews were called out at 1.00am, and found the man at the foot of the 170 foot cliffs at Little Ness on Marine Drive.

He was suffering from hypothermia and a number of injuries.

The rescue took place in freezing temperatures and force six winds.

An RAF helicopter was brought in to take the man to Noble's.
