The DEFA Minister says it's clear the Island's meat plant was never going to run profitably and efficiently.
Phil Gawne says this is because of its size and design, but he insists that this isn't the main issue facing the Fatstock Marketing Association at the moment.
Mr Gawne was speaking about the struggling meat plant in the House of Keys this week.
He says future production needs to be focused solely on the needs of consumers and the industry needs to change.[play media file below]
