A worker at one of the Island's secondary schools has been selected as 1 of 60 Global Poverty Ambassadors from across the British Isles.
Kristina Crawford is attending the 2012 launch for the ambassadors today, which is being hosted by Bill Gates and Hans Rosling at the London School of Economics.
The Assistant to the Head of Sixth Form at St Ninian's High School will be given training to deliver the 1.4billion reasons presentation.
The multimedia presentation explains what can be done to help those in poverty.
The launch will be streamed online from 1.30pm at globalpovertyproject.com
