An urgent review of the Island's criminal justice system is being carried out.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says there's been concern over several areas, including prosecutions.
North Douglas MHK John Houghton had been due to ask about what he calls 'diminished standards' within the Attorney General's Chambers in Tynwald last week.
However, he withdrew the question after Mr Bell assured him the situation was in hand.
The Chief Minister says the criminal justice system needs to perform as effectively as it can.[Play media file below]
