The Chief Minister says difficult and unpopular decisions will be taken as the Island continues to work towards rebalancing its budget.

Allan Bell has issued a warning today that the Island must face up to challenges.

Mr Bell says the Government needs to cut its wage bill by 10%, or £30m, over the next three to four years.

Other measures to rebalance the books include a review of the National Insurance and social benefit systems.

Meanwhile, focus is also on growing the economy.

Mr Bell's vision is for the whole Island to become an enterprise zone.

In order for this to happen, he thinks the planning system needs to be fit for purpose.

At the moment, he doesn't think it is and says it could lose the Island money.[play media file below]
