Nearly all properties affected by a burst water main in lower Douglas have had their supplies restored.
Engineers were called to the site of the burst in Well Road Hill this morning.
However, a number of homes and businesses could be left with discoloured water throughout the day as repair work continues.
The Water and Sewerage Authority says when repairing large mains there's a risk of disturbing un-harmful deposits in the network.
People who have discoloured water are advised to run the cold tap in the kitchen slowly, although in some cases it could take over half an hour for it to clear.
