A leading representative from the City of London will visit the Isle of Man next week to learn more about the Island as an international finance and business centre.
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman David Wootton will attend briefings on various sectors within the Island's economy and finance sector regulation.
The timing of the visit is particularly relevant, following comments this week by Labour leader Ed Miliband which saw the Island branded a tax haven.
Chief Minister Allan Bell invited the Lord Mayor to the Island after a meeting in London last December.
The Island has been building it's relationship with the Lord Mayor in recent years, with a previous Lord Mayor describing the Island as a core asset for the City.
