Police say it's lucky nobody was injured after a metal pole fell from a truck in the south of the Island this morning.
The iron rod hit a parked car in Arbory just moments after a woman and her young children had left the vehicle.
The driver of the van didn't stop at the scene and carried on travelling in the Colby direction.
Police are trying to trace the occupant of the truck, which is described as white, open-backed and had a coloured emblem on the side.
The incident happened at around 8.40am.
Officers says it's important that loads being carried in open trucks or trailers are secure to prevent items falling off and causing damage or injury.
