Over 266 full time Government jobs were cut between the end of March and the end of December last year.
Chief Minister Allan Bell has revealed that the equivalent of 266.14 full time roles were lost during the 9 month period.
At the end of 2011, there was the equivalent of 7679 full time roles employed by Government.
Over 100 full time equivalent roles were cut from the civil service, which employed 87 fewer staff at the end of 2011 than in March last year.
The figures mean the Government has reduced the number of working hours it needs from its employees by 3.41%.
