The economic impact on the Isle of Man caused by sailing cancellations is to be discussed in Tynwald next week.
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft will ask Economic Development Minister John Shimmin to assess the impact of the disruption over recent months.
The Ben-my-Chree sailings have been cancelled on 20 days in the last three months.
The cancellations led to some Manx companies needing to use other freight firms to get their goods to the Island or face a shortage.
Mrs Beecroft is a member of the Liberal Vannin Party, which has called for the Government to be ready to buy the Steam Packet Company if it becomes available.
Tynwald sits from Tuesday next week.
