A man needed to be taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Douglas in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Smoke was seen coming out of the window of the flat on Bucks Road just after 1.00am.
The occupant had been in bed when the fire started but had been able to make his way out of the property.
The blaze was confined to the lounge, with fire damage to the walls and floor.
A sofa had also started to catch fire.
The man who was in the flat showed signs of smoke inhalation so was taken to Noble's as a precaution.
Fire crews say they're investigating the cause of the fire but it's not thought to be suspicious.
Officers were on the scene for around two hours
