Manx residents looking to return unwanted Christmas presents are being reminded that retailers aren't legally obliged to give them a refund.
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading says shops aren't required by law to give you your money back for gifts if there's nothing wrong with the item being brought back.
However, many shops do offer a refund or credit note as part of their store policies.
Many people contact the OFT at this time of year asking for advice about returning such items.
