A planning application for electrical superstore Currys has been submitted for a site in Braddan that retailer Next also had an interest in.
Dixon's PLC has agreed to lease Unit 1 on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate to Curry's and PC World.
Planning permission is being sought to create a mezzanine floor in the building to create more retail space.
The site is next door to the new Pets at Home store.
In November, Next put in a planning application for the same building saying it wanted to sell furniture, homeware and children's clothes.
In that application, it was stated Next was a potential buyer for the site.
Those plans are still under consideration.
At the moment, it's unclear what this new application for Currys and PC World means in relation to the Next submission.
A spokesperson from Next says they're unable to comment on issues that are still subject to planning.
