Police appeal to trace man

Police have issued an unusual appeal for help in tracing a man they want to speak to.

The man spoke to a young woman by the Villa Marina gates on Broadway in Douglas at around 15.20 on New Year's Eve.

He's tall and slim, and around 40 years old.

He was wearing a beany hat and brightly coloured jacket.

Police are keen to point out that the man isn't in trouble and doesn't pose any known risk to the public.

Anyone who knows who he is, is asked to call Police Headquarters.
