A £3m project to replace over half of the railway track on Snaefell is ahead of schedule, despite recent stormy conditions.
Around 20 workers from local firm Colas have been carrying out the work for the government over the winter.
Passenger numbers on the Snaefell Mountain Railway went up by 11% over the summer, to 49,000.
The current phase of work is scheduled to be complete before Easter, in time for the new summer season.
