The Chief Minister says the decision to move the printing of the Island's newspapers to the UK contradicts the papers' message on national pride.
Allan Bell told Tynwald that the job losses in the print hall are regrettable, but that all editorial posts will remain on the Island.
It was announced last month that the printing of the papers is to move to Sheffield for commercial reasons
Mr Bell doesn't think the move sits well with Isle of Man Newspaper's campaign to recognise the achievements of Manx residents [play clip]
