New head of Manx language education

A new head of Manx language education takes charge from January.

Rob Teare takes over from Rosemary Derbyshire, who is retiring after seven years in charge.

Mr Teare will head the Manx Language Unit based in Peel.

The unit works with students from primary school through to A level.

Mr Teare says he wants to ensure that every child who wants to learn Manx on the Island has the chance.
