Storm force winds cause road closures

The Mountain Road is closed as 80mph winds are recorded there.

Police say the road will be shut between the Ramsey Hairpin and Creg ny Baa until 6pm.

King Edward Road is also closed due to high winds.

The route is shut from it's junction with Summerhill to Port Jack.

Police say the road will remain closed until 12.15pm.

The closure coincides with high tide as winds reaching storm force 10 hit the Island.

The Southern and Northern Civic Amenity Sites have also been forced to close as the winds pick up.
