The Ben-my-Chree will go into dry dock next weekend.
The Steam Packet Company has confirmed this evening that the repaired bow thruster will be delivered next week.
The ferry operator is now finalising dry dock and freight charter arrangements.
Passenger services to the UK and Dublin will be carried out by the Manannan.
It had been thought the vessel would continue to operate with the manouevrability problem until April.
Manufacturer Wartsila, the firm which has been repairing the bow thruster, has informed the Steam Packet that the part will be returned on the 14th of December, with the Ben going into dry dock on the 16th
