Manx funded film nominated at Annie Awards

An award winning animated film part funded by Isle of Man Film and CinemaNX is nominated for an Annie Award.

Chico and Rita is up for Best Animated Feature at the event, regarded as the most prestigious international awards for animation.

It comes just days after the film picked up the Best Animated Feature Film at the European Film Awards in Berlin.

Chico and Rita tells the story of a Cuban pianist and a singer who are brought together by music.

The winners of the Annie's will be announced in Los Angeles in February.
