A politician is to ask whether a report on bringing Sarah's Law in on the Isle of Man will be published before Christmas.
North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson also wants to know if the group looking into the law has received all the information available.
When it was announced that the group would look into the law, it was said that it would report its findings before the end of the year.
The law gives parents greater ability to find out if those in contact with their children are sex offenders.
The group was formed under the previous Home Affairs Minister before the General Election, but new Minister Juan Watterson has stated that he has an open mind to the legislation.
The formation of the group came after months of campaigning by members of the public, with support from Mr Henderson.
Mr Watterson will provide an update in the House of Keys tomorrow.
