A Committee looking into voting areas on the Island wants each constituency to be represented by the same number of MHKs.
The Boundary Review Committee is to ask Tynwald to accept the principal of each constituency returning the same number of Members to the House of Keys.
Currently, there are just over 2500 registered voters per seat on average.
In Douglas East, there are less than 4000 registered voters, meaning there are just 1900 votes per seat, whilst in Peel there are over 3500 votes for just one seat.
Currently, there are 15 House of Keys constituencies. 8 elect 1 member, 5 have 2 MHKs, and Onchan and Rushen both have 3 representatives
The Committee will present its interim report and ask for Tynwald to approve its recommendations at this month's sitting.
