More sailing disruption expected

There could be yet more disruption to sailings later.

The Steam Packet Company says the weather forecast means the 7.45pm crossing to Heysham and the returning sailing at 2.15 tomorrow morning may be disrupted or cancelled.

Gusts of gale force 8 are forecast for this evening, with winds reaching nearly 50mph expected around Heysham.

The Ben-my-Chree has been cancelled on four days in the last week because of the weather.

The ferry operator will issue another update around 5.00pm.
