It will be another four months until repair work is carried out on the Ben my Chree.
The ferry has damaged one of its bow thrusters - a part which helps it manoeuvre.
Strong winds and rough seas, combined with this problem have caused disruptions lately.
There have been four days of cancellations just in the last week.
The repairs were due to be complete in September and dry-docking arrangements had been made, but the maker of the faulty unit didn't meet the agreed dates.
The Steam Packet needs to be able to cover passenger and freight services whilst the Ben my Chree is out of action.
It's now confirmed that the bow thruster repairs will be included in it's scheduled maintenance and dry-docking period in April.
