A woman who died ten days after being hit by a car in Douglas has been named by police.
She was 37 year old Christina Collister from Douglas.
Mrs Collister was walking with her son near to the Ellan Vannin Gymnastics club on 8th November when she was struck by a blue Renault Clio.
The impact caused her to be knocked over a small embankment and into the river.
Mrs Collister suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Noble's Hospital.
She was released late last week but died on Friday.
Her son and the two occupants of the car were unhurt.
Mrs Collister's husband Alan says she was a wonderful wife and a loving and devoted mother who touched many people's lives.
Police say it's a tragic and unexpected loss and their thoughts are with her family.
They say they at the moment, it's too early to attribute Mrs Collister's death to the accident but they will be carrying out a detailed investigation.
Police are still wanting to speak to people who were in the area of the Bowl at around 6pm on the 8th, and may have seen the collision or spotted the car being driven on the access road beforehand.
