Steam Packet warns of more disruption

There could be more sailing disruption later today.

The Steam Packet Company says the 7.45pm crossing to Heysham and the return sailing at 2.15 tomorrow morning may have to be cancelled due to the weather forecast.

Gusts reaching severe gale force 9 are expected overnight.

The ferry operator will make a further announcement at around five pm.

The Ben my Chree's sailings have been cancelled five times in the last five weeks because of the weather conditions.

The recent disruption will be discussed in the House of Keys tomorrow.
