Warning of more disruption to ferry crossings

The Steam Packet Company warns there could be disruption to sailings later today.

It's expected there'll be gusts of severe gale force nine this evening.

The ferry operator says this could cause a delay or cancellation to the 20.00 crossing to Heysham and return crossing at 2.15 tomorrow morning.

Over the last five weeks, the Steam Packet has cancelled the Ben my Chree on four occasions because of weather conditions, causing questions to be raised in the House of Keys next week

The Ben my Chree re-entered service in the early hours of this morning after sustaining damage in a crash at Heysham yesterday
