Scammers targeting Isle of Man residents are using the telephone and email more than post.
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading recently held a Scams Week, raising awareness of cons and how to avoid them.
The majority of scam contact recently has been through email or a phone call, although the OFT warns scammers could return to mail in the future.
The OFT says cold callers offering computer repairs and bogus parcel delivery cards urging the addressee to call a premium rate number are amongst the most common scams currently in operation.
Information on protecting yourself against scams is available on the OFT's website.
