Robbie Callister break South African race walk record

Manxman Robbie Callister has proved he doesn't have to be on home soil show off his endurance walking skills.

The five times Parish Walk winner has become the first foreigner to win an 80km walking race in South Africa - set a new event record in the process.

Robbie took part in the Discovery/Cape Times Big Walk on Sunday.

It's the biggest and oldest event on Cape Town's sporting calendar.

Robbie finished around half an hour ahead of his nearest rival.

He told a South African newspaper the course was a bit flatter than he's used to
