£1.6m health centre to open in the New Year

The government has been handed the keys for a £1.6m Health and Community Centre in Jurby.

Construction began just over a year ago on the site of the former Jurby Hotel.

The building will house a new GP surgery operated by doctors from the Ramsey group practice and will also be used by community nursing staff.

Rooms will also be available for public groups to use.

Dr Graham Wilson from the Ramsey Group says the facilities are first class.

It will open in the New Year.
