A new board has been appointed to try to turn round the Island's struggling meat plant.
The five new Executive Directors are Graham Crowe, Shaun Dean, Allan Skillicorn, Geoff Taggart and Pentti Christian, who was behind a recently refused application to develop a private facility.
It's being seen as a last-ditch attempt to save the abattoir at Tromode, which is currently making massive losses.
The new board will investigate several new options including the possibility of partnering with organisations in the UK that may be able to help.
It's thought the plant won't survive beyond the next 3-6 months if things don't pick up.
It was recommended by the last board that it's taken into government ownership.
Graham Crowe still isn't ruling out this possibility.[play media file below]
