The Manx Electricity Authority has finished construction of its Natural Gas Extension System.
The £23m project will allow properties in the north, south and west of the Island to receive natural gas instead of LPG.
At the moment it's only supplied to Douglas and the surrounding areas.
Manx Gas is currently surveying properties ahead of conversion work.
It's said the change will allow the company to introduce an all-island tariff and give households a wide choice of modern and efficient appliances.
The MEA's work to lay 47 kilometres of pipeline affected over 100 landowners and they're thanked for their co-operation.
