Two road improvement schemes get underway on busy routes in Douglas today.
The first is on Glen Crutchery Road where a 19 week project is beginning to resurface the road.
Motorists are warned delays are possible.
In the centre of the town, work will begin on Prospect Hill to replace pavements.
The work will be carried out between the Athol Street and Circular Road junctions.
Prospect Hill will be one way for traffic travelling out of town.
Drivers travelling down from the Buck's Road direction will be diverted via Circular Road.
It's aimed to have it finished by Christmas.
