The Government's announced it will help public sector workers on lower incomes when changes to their pension schemes are introduced next April.
Tynwald has approved plans to replace 15 public pension schemes with a single unified one.
People earning under £21,000 will receive a rebate on their contributions.
Those who earn between £21,000 and £25,000 will be rebated half of the mandatory increase.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says the move follows representations from the unions.[play media file below]
